Behind The Scenes: Part 3

The Behind The Scenes section has already reach part 3. We will continue

to look at how some of my picture scenes were being setup. Again, 5 of my

work are featured here as below.

figma Mayoi Hachikuji

figma Mayoi Hachikuji is the third figma release from the popular anime

Bakemonogatari. She could easily be the cutest figma and you will see

why here.

Figure Comic: The Duel

Starring figma Kagura and Yomi from Ga-Rei Zero, Aya from Se Kirara and

Ui from K-ON! This is my first figure comic that has no dialogues. Enjoy :) 

figma Miku Append

Ladies and gentlemen, please welcome the 100th standard release figma that

is known as figma Miku Hatsune: Append version. She is the virtual diva from

the super popular singing synthesizer, Vocaloid. I am not familiar with Vocaloid

but i believe the Append version is the expansion of the original software.

figma Hitagi Senjougahara

This is figma Hitagi Senjougahara from the anime Bakemonogatari. She is one

of the most interesting female anime characters of all time and naturally, one of

my favourites.

figma Madoka Kaname

Puella Magi Madoka Magica or Mahou Shoujo Madoka Magika is the hot

candidate for anime of the year 2011. It is also my favourite series so far this

year. The main character of the show, Madoka Kaname gets a figma release

in her magical girl form.

Happy 2011 Halloween

Still a little too early until Halloween 2011 but I would like to put up some pictures

that are related to this annual festival. These are a mix of new and old ones.

Magical Girls Power Struggle

Puella Magi Madoka Magica is the super popular magical girls anime in

2011. Magical Girl Lyrical Nanoha is the previous most popular anime of

the same genre. Both of these 2 animes have their own different and

unique universe. What if their characters meet each other?

figma Mikuru Adult Version

figma Mikuru Asahina Adult Version is from the anime Melancholy of Haruhi

Suzumiya. Happy to get her with a good price.

Behind The Scenes: Part 2

Behind The Scenes shows what is going on at the background in some

of my work. Part 2 picks up where Part 1 left off and covers another 5

pics as below.

Mecha Girl Lyrical Nanoha

Another round of having some customization fun with my figures. This

time features figma Nanoha from the anime Magical Girl Lyrical Nanoha

StrikerS. She will be transfomed from a magical girl into a mecha girl :)

figma Strength

Welcome figma Strength to join my collection. She is one of the characters

from the anime of Black Rock Shooter OVA and usually known simply as STR.

figma BRS Mato & Yomi

The OVA anime of Black Rock Shooter introduced us to 2 school girls. They

are Mato Kuroi and Yomi Takanashi. Their figma versions somehow found

their way to me :) figma Mato is an exclusive release during the Winter

Wonder Festival 2011. I was able to get her for a reasonable price from

an online shop. figma Yomi is a standard release in July 2011.

figma Reika & her Bikes

Recently a Gantz Bike is released by Freeing. It is a very cool and good

looking vehicle but it also comes with a very high price tag. Therefore i

decided to custom-make some bikes for my figma Reika. These are

purely for fun and no such products can be found in the market.

figma Azusa Nakano aka Azunyan

figma Azusa Nakano from the anime K-ON! has joined my collection recently.
She is also known as Azu-nyan (we will call her Azunyan here) thanks to her
Yui-senpai's funny idea of her with a cat ear.

Starring Black Gold Saw, Fate and Tsumugi. 

figma KOS-MOS landed

KOS-MOS from the game Xenosaga III is my most anticipated figma in 2011. I

have never played the game but only watched the anime some time ago. The
reasons for my high expectations can be found in the following picture.

Revoltech Skeleton Army

This figure was released as Revoltech at the end of 2010. My version here

is actually the second version that was re-released in April 2011 with a different

pattern on the shields. He (lets assume he was a guy) is from the movie "Jason

and the Argonauts". Althought he is called Skeleton Army, I only have 1 unit...

We will simply call him Skeleton-san here.

Behind The Scenes: Part 1

After creating figure pics and comics for a while, I realised the number of them is

quite high. Thus, I have an idea of compiling "behind the scenes" shots for some

of my work. They will be presented in parts. Each part consists of 5 creations

and their "behind the scenes". This is Part 1.

Starring the Hirasawa sisters, Yui and Ui from the anime K-ON!.

Also a little reference to a popular sci-fi movie :) 

figma Ayanami Rei

Evangelion is the super popular anime that needs no introduction. From the

recently remade movies, Rei is reborn in figma form. She had been delayed

for about 4 months before finally being released in May 2011. I am not a

big fan of Evangelion but I do like Rei most out of all its female casts.

A Certain figma Misaka Imouto

Welcome Misaka Imouto (Little Sister) from the anime Toaru Majutsu no Index (A

Certain Magical Index). Together with Kosmos, they are my most anticipated figmas

in 2011. I have ordered her way earlier in Oct 2010. This an exclusive release,

which is only available in Dengekiya online store for residents in Japan only.

Figure Comic: Black Rock Crumble

Starring: BRS, DM, BGS.

This one can be considered as the continuation from Black Rock Rumble.

That is why BRS said "Finally found you!"

figma Black Gold Saw

Black Gold Saw is the 3rd figma release of the girls in the Black Rock world,

after BRS and DM. She had a brief appearance in the OVA version of the anime.

Almost everything about her is a mystery. We only know she wields a big sword

and she is really strong. She has similar designs with BRS, who is also wearing

bra top and short pants as well as mainly in black color :)

Starring Yui, Mio and Skeleton-san

A simple 3-panel one to mark the arrival of Skeleton-san :)

figma Dead Master arrived

Finally decided to get her. First saw her in the OVA version of the Black Rock

Shooter anime. The story is a bit confusing but the characters are very likable. 

K-ON! Bad End

We all know that K-ON! is a slice of life anime series, which has nothing big

or serious going on. In its ideal world, there are no bad people, no violence,

no threats to world peace, and even all girls in the school are cute and nice.

Surely we will wonder what if not all things in K-ON! are what we seen? Hence,

that thought leads to the creation of the Bad End route. Of course, it is not

canon and purely for fun.

figma Reika from Gantz

This pretty girl is Shimohira Reika, the idol and alien fighter from the manga Gantz.

She got a figma release in 2009 as SP-005. So far, she is the only character from

that title being released.

figma Misaka aka Railgun

She is bundled with the limited edition of the Index PSP game only. I had no intention of getting her since i do not own a PSP. However when i was in Tokyo (before the earthquake), found her available with only the figma at Mandarake Akihabara. The price is reasonable so it was an easy decision :) Let's take a look at this super popular Level 5 tsundere's figma version.

Figure Comic: Black Rock Rumble

My second attempt on figure comic. This time there are 3 anime series involved. They are Black Rock Shooter OVA, Nanoha StrikerS and Angel Beats! The stars include figma Fate, nendo petit Yuri, figma and nendoroid BRS. Green arrows are inserted for easier reading flow. Enjoy :)

How to kamehameha with figmas

As shown in the pic above, "kamehameha" is a long-ranged attacking skill that often being used in the Dragonball manga and anime. It was created by Master Roshi and became the signature move of his famous disciple, Goku.

The pose requires putting both hands together. It proves to be impossible for figma due to its limited articulations. However, it can be done by applying a little trick. This is a simple guide on on how to do a kamehameha pose with figmas.

K-ON in the house!

Received a parcel from amiami. Inside is figma Yui and figma Mugi that i

have ordered last month.

Together with Mio and Ritsu, now i have four of the HTT (Houkago Tea Time)

members figma version from the anime K-ON!. I have waited for all of them

to arrive in order to open them at the same time.
